Can you believe she looks so fabulous after running eight miles?
This weekend was the Batter Bakery Fundraising Bake Sale!
Momma K and I went to CCFA headquarters to get some signs the day before the event and Breanne hooked us up with ribbon, necklaces, jars, reading material and lots of other CCFA goodies.
SuperJen and I came in about an hour before it started and I set up while she baked some of the muffins and scones. Her fabulous brother Scott came in at 10 and helped man the booth with SJ while I went and grabbed my mom from her run.
By the time we got back we had already sold out of some things!
We sat outside for the rest of the event as it was a gorgeous day (Momma K bought some margarita mix and we mixed up drinks to make the day a little sweeter) and enjoyed talking to everyone who came in and bought treats and asked questions about the race and the disease....we even had some special visitors, my favorite college professor and one of my friends who came all the way from the Richmond to get some sweets! Thanks guys!
Scott, me, Professor Sidaoui and SJ!
The fundraiser went well and we added over $300 to our fundraising goal!
We had a great time socializing with SJ, her brother and the Stable crew. A special thank you to Breanne for helping us get situated and for printing out directions to the bake sale to hand out during practice, everyone who worked at Stable that day for giving us some of their tips and for directing people, to Brian for letting us use the gallery and of course a big thank you to SuperJen for donating her time and delicious treats to us!
